Dear Family,
Your child will be attending The Allentown Band Youth Concert, "Echoes of the 1860s," on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. While at the concert, your child will see and hear a demonstration of the musical instruments that make up, The Allentown Band.
The concert will feature the music of several popular composers and a variety of musical styles.. We will explore and analyze the various ways these composers used the elements, the building blocks of music, to help create an image of something as we listen to the music.
After the performance, ask your child about their favorite song or instrument and other memorable moments.
We hope your child enjoys the performance and will share some thoughts about the concert and their visit to Allentown Symphony Hall.
